AGILITY FOUNDATION STEPS - Jumpers & Tunnels course.

Jumps and tunnels are the foundation of agility. This course teaches you how to build a strong partnership using your body, hand signals and your voice to communicate.   Have a BLAST racing around the course, jumping over obstacles and through tunnels with your favourite furry pal.  Agility naturally teaches your dog how to pay attention to you, rather than missing out on the fun. Other skills we sneak in are stays, recalls, focus and being close by your side while off leash! Once you have learned the skills in this course teaching advanced agility obstacles is more successful.

*Note there is an option to train for Fun Match Agility Trials should you both enjoy the sport.

Prerequisites: Enthusiastic owners and their happy go lucky dogs ... ones with a start on training  but needing some focus or direction. Not suitable for dogs with serious behaviour issues. If you are unsure, contact us to discuss your dog and assess your needs. It is a good idea to withhold your dog's dinner until after class.

When: Sundays, new 4-week class every month (starting May 13 - June 3, June 10 - July 1?)
Time: 5:00 - 6:15 pm *tentative time*
Location: Rojo Pez Ranch (covered horse riding arena) 15060 Squamish Valley Rd 15 minutes from Squamish 22km from Alice Lake & Hwy 99 junction, on your right you will see the white arena and a sign. Please ensure gate is closed behind you and leave your dog in vehicle when you arrive. 

Cost: $120 (plus hst) Total  $134.40 Cheque payable to Paw In Hand Pet Services or cash.

- Payment and waiver can be dropped off at our office 40801 Perth Drive or mailed and must be received to hold your spot in class.
- Registration limited to 4 dog/handler teams.

- Note: One week notice prior to start of class is required for cancellations or refunds.

What to bring: Your dog (wearing a plain buckle collar), You (wearing comfortable outdoor clothing), 6 foot plain leash, body harness desirable, scrumptious small soft dog treats that your dog will jump hoops for, special toy that your dog goes googly eyed over, and a soft mat (such as bathroom mat, crate pad, etc.).
* Please leave your dog in your vehicle when you first arrive. Bring your gear (treats, toys and mat) to the meeting area.
